The Smart Biologist will have a quest available when there is a yellow exclamation point (!) above his head. There are actually multiple Kirin quests - the first one is the "Gone In A Flash" Low rank five star optional quest, which is unlocked by completing the following tasks:Īfter unlocking two star assignments, check the Biologist NPCs in Astera regularly.
Kirin is only available in select quests, which the game does not reveal. Kirin is an extremely rare monster in Monster Hunter: World that makes a return from previous games.
